I noticed last Saturday that Ozzie, my blind guinea pig, had suddenly ruptured his right eye! It was quite red and bulging. After immediately taking him to the emergency animal hospital where they confirmed our suspicion that it was a ruptured eye, they gave us ointment and eye drops and said to take him to his regular vet in 3-5 days, but that he would likely have to have his eye removed.
And yesterday, after taking him to his regular vet at Chadwell Animal Hospital, the good news came in! The vet says he can keep his eye!
So much for changing his name to Bad Eye Moody...
But I'm glad Ozzie is okay.
