Ball Game Fundraiser and Luna's House Update

I was at a ball game raising money for Luna's House recently... Quite interesting! First time  I was out at that particular event. We sold lots of magnets (always a favorite), got lots of donations, but didn't sell the raffle basket! Very disappointing, but usually our baskets are a bit fancy and worth hundreds of dollars, and this not so much. Anyways, I got to met with some current volunteers and some new potential volunteers!

Also had someone coming along asking if we could take seven kittens... This is why you spay and neuter your pets everyone!!! We told her who to contact to see if Luna's House fosters could take them at the time.

There's been lots of work going on at the Luna's House Animal Care and Education Center! There's a new mural on the wall, and dogs runs are being installed. Luna's House will have an open house day on August 27th, where volunteers & the public can get a tour! They will also have some vendors there.

I've also got a little Animal Rescue and Education Club scheduled, so it should be a good start to the Luna's House Youth Volunteer Group! Scouts also welcomed!

Came Back!

Well, I am back from two weeks of camp and"vacation"!

I brought the little piggers with me when I went down to visit one set of relatives, but didn't bring them up to the next set of relatives... However I did meet three others piggies, including Kimberly my ex-foster pig! And her new roommates, JJ and Rose! Adorable all around.

In other news- Luna's House has an opening ceremony to their Animal Care and Education Center! Its on August 21st, at the center on 2801 Pulaski Highway, Edgewood, MD. The building isn't supposed to be operational until sometime in September however. Exciting though! Almost there! Hopefully I'll be able to interview some volunteers soon and work up a video of construction and volunteer effort that has gone into fixing up this building and turning it into something great.
