Check out this video of the TIC Gums employees helping to clean up Luna's House's new Animal Care and Education Facility, located on 2801 Pulaski Highway, Edgewood, Maryland.
This blog is about a service project called Produce For Piggies; it also revolves around my mischievous little masters, the guinea pigs of the house!

New Poll!
Okay everybody, remember to check out the poll at the bottom of the page!
(For the sake of the fact that with all the posts on the front page, it took FOREVER to scroll down the page to see the poll, there is now only 3 posts shown on the front page. To see older posts (and there are a lot of them!) look in the Archive to the right side of the page!)

No new posts? & Gardens!
So, as some may or may not have noticed, I haven't posted in awhile; no thanks to a certain play I'm performing in (though it is really amazing ;) ).
This is just an intermediate post until I can calm the busy (and sleepless) schedule I'm on right now.
Its harvest time! For those of you who have gardens, are thinking about making them, or know somebody who has one... good for you! And your piggy masters!
Guinea pigs really like fresh vegetables (and fruit, if you happen to have that type of garden), the fresher the better! Lettuce is a good starter, and tomatoes grow well too (though guinea pigs shouldn't be fed too much of them). Just be careful when picking the vegetables/fruit that there are no bugs in them. Wash carefully, making sure there isn't too much dirt on them. A little dirt won't hurt, but too much is (obviously) not very tasty...... and they won't be able to eat it.
Remember, guinea pigs also like grass too! Just make sure it hasn't been sprayed with anything recently. Also, if you don't already know, check with your neighbors to see if they spray their lawns. If they do, keep your guinea pigs away from the edge of your lawn (where you are your neighbors lawn meet).
Spring is here everybody- let the guinea pigs romp!!!!!!!!
Its okay to roll down the windows near your guinea pig's house, when the weather is good, they love the fresh air too!
And that is all... for now!

Produce For Piggies Presentation- a success!
Like, I think, I mentioned previously; I was supposed to be presenting my project/company (aka P4P) to my tech class... yesterday!
Needless to say (see post title), it was a complete success! Okay, I'll admit it, I wasn't quite as funny as some of the other companies... But then, its not as if I was selling iBanana's or iSaw's or offering to chuck nasty old coaches and Mac's in a catapult/cannon!
Anyways, just another step for Produce For Piggies! I may be presenting again on May 7th to a larger group of people, but I have to make sure its going to work technically... As for the presentation I did, I may put up a video of it, or at least of the powerpoint/videos I used. I don't know yet... I'll think about it... =D
Keep checking out our blog, website, youtube, and facebook! We aren't stopping here!

Towsontown Festival... (pheew) Over
I just got back from the Townsontown Festival (I've been there since 10:45), where I was volunteering at the Luna's House booth. Despite the weatherman's assurance of nice weather, it was anything but! I was freezing! And, up top of that, the festival didn't even open until 1:00! So I was standing out there, in the cold, with nothing to do!
But... hopefully we sold a lot of stuff and got a lot of donations, and made people more aware of Luna's House.
<3 u Luna's House!
